Today, March 2nd, 2025, will likely be the kick-off storm event of the season for traditional chase country.

2025 will be my 10th season of storm chasing. While it seems crazy that I’ve been doing it for this long, there always seems to be a lingering elephant in the room…

The scenes out of Greater Los Angeles have been nothing short of dreadful. It’s one of those rare events where you realize you’re witnessing a historic moment in weather in real time.

Firstly, Happy Halloween! I figured it would be fitting to dress up as Glen Powell’s character from this year’s release of Twisters, Tyler Owens. It is probably safe to say that every other storm chaser or weather fan also decided to pull that out for a Halloween Costume. Can you really expect anything less though?

I was supposed to have a video completed today.

Instead, the script is still only halfway done and I’ve grown increasingly frustrated at it. For the first time since college, I think I’m burnt out.
